Mickael Gelabale, in a statement sent to the French website Catch-and-Shoot, informed about his departure from Spirou Charleroi. The contract of the player was undefinitely suspended by the Belgian team due to his ankle injury suffered at Eurobasket.
"Considering I am temporarily sidelined due to an ankle injury suffered during Eurobasket, I perfectly understand the reasons why Spirou Charleroi suspended my contract undefinitely. The club, however, is still looking for a new player even if they qualified for the Euroleague Regular Season. Without a certain agreement about my future, I decided to focus on my recovery. I confirme that I won't be in the roster of Spirou Charleroi for the season 2011-12. I wish the best to the club" said Gelabale via Catch-and-Shoot.
